New Mexico Fiesta 2008

The Land of Enchantment! This tour is held during the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. A World-Class Festival that everyone should attend at least once. We lay-over in Albuqueque for a day to utilize the bike path to old downtown and attend the balloon festival (weather permitting balloon launch). After that we leave to beautiful Northern New Mexico. After traveling through the mountains we arrive in Santa Fe, home to many artists, shops and museums.

NOTE: Albuquerque (our start/finish) is at an elevation of 5,000 feet we will go up to 8,000 ft. during the ride (sags are provided).

Day 1 (Albuquerque, NM) Monday October 6
Registration / We are in Corrales, less than 2 miles from the Hot Air Balloon Festival Grounds.

Day 2 (Albuquerque) Tuesday October 7
10, 20 or 40 miles / Shuttles to the Fiesta grounds & an opportunity to ride the bike path to Old Downtown, choose 10/20/40 mile ride option (Flat terrain)

Day 3 (Albuquerque to Jimez) Wednesday October 8
45 miles / Flat and rolling

Day 4 (Jimez to Los Alamos) Thursday October 9
0 or 35 miles / Challenging day riding with beautiful views or choose an optional van trip to Bandalier National Monument

Day 5 (Los Alamos to Santa Fe) Friday October 10
50 miles / Ride to Santa Fe. We camp 5 miles outside of the city.

Day 6 (Santa Fe) Saturday October 11
LAYOVER DAY. We are 5 miles outside the city of Santa Fe, shuttles are provided to town throughout the day.

Day 7 (Santa Fe to Albuquerque) Sunday October 12
62 miles / From Santa Fe we head East and South down to Cedar Crest. The ride view is wide open today the whole way.

Day 8 (Albuquerque) Monday October 13
37 miles / Leaving Cedar Crest, we head back to Corrales.
